Why I joined Dixon Financial Services:
Successful investment management comes from gaining perspective.
Although I entered the field of investment management in 1992 through a more traditional broker dealer, it did not take long to for me to realize that selling products to clients was not a sustainable way to build long term advisory relationships. Being an advocate for others has always been a passion for me, so the opportunity to join a client focused firm like Dixon Financial Services in 1995 was a logical and unique progression.
Outside of work, my passions include:
Teaching and Child Advocacy have been passions of mine for many years. After originally working my way through college as a ski instructor to help others learn a sport that I enjoy, I turned my focus to helping raise my son Grant and daughter Megan. I now spend time volunteering as a youth leader at my local church and as a child sponsorship advocate, with my wife Patti, for Compassion International. I deeply believe in the vision of Compassion that the world can be changed by breaking the cycle of poverty and encouraging youth to become the ethical leaders of tomorrow's society. I also enjoy cycling, and playing an occasional round of golf.
