Why I joined Dixon Financial Services:

“An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” – Benjamin Franklin

I grew up in the financial industry watching my parents start and build a successful wealth management practice. Throughout high school and college I worked alongside my parents in the business. I loved helping to serve our clients and develop their investment portfolios. After college I interned at various financial institutions and the plan had been for me to someday take over the family business. Unfortunately, my father passed away in early 2015. As a result, I sought to work at a firm that upheld the same values and core principles I learned from my parents. Seeing that DFS possesses the same client-oriented service model and core philosophy of educated and research-driven investing, I was very excited to join the team.

I am passionate about being able to make a true impact in clients’ lives through a better and prudent investment approach. In college I studied the importance of perspective in human interaction and how it shapes our ability to communicate and develop trusting relationships. Developing trusting relationships is core to all that DFS is and does.

Outside of work, my passions include:

Maintaining an active lifestyle and having many unique experiences has always been in my blood. I love traveling, and getting to see all the wonderful things life has to offer. Good food and good company play a big role in that love; I enjoy spending time and going out with friends and family for new food experiences. Volunteering as much as possible is also important to me, especially with organizations that help provide food for the needy or organizations that specialize in helping victims of domestic violence.

Tyler's Educational and Career background:

Tyler received his Certified Financial Planner designation from the CFP Board of Standards in 2016. He received his CIMA designation from the Investments and Wealth institute in 2017.
